Use bone meal for a variety of plants. Common applications include around larger perennials to better aid root development and green leaf production to help make healthier trees and shrubs. The slow releasing phosphrous can help your roses and bulbs and other flowers, as well. For better vegetable production, this organic garden treatment can also help prevent blossom-end rot in peppers, eggplants and tomatoes.

In order to get the most of out of this product, test your soil to make sure it is below the 7.0 pH neutral level, towards the acid-side. In more neutral or alkaline soils, the phosphorus will be inaccessible to the plants due to the alkaline soil interaction.

Although the ideal range of application is 70 to 140 grams per sq. metre, you may see benefits from a smaller amount applied per sq. metre.

Suggested application is every four to six weeks throughout the growing season from February through the end of October. For best application procedures, fertilizer granules should be worked into the soil. In periods without rain, water before and after applying the product to the soil area.
