Product description

Rootgrow Evergreen Plant Food is an essential product specifically formulated to meet the year-round nutritional needs of evergreen trees and shrubs. It is made with a carefully balanced blend of nutrients, with an emphasis on nitrogen to promote rich, green, and healthy foliage that lasts all year. These nutrients are readily available to the plant's root system with the explicit purpose of fuelling steady growth and maintaining excellent leaf colour. This is vital for allowing your evergreen plants to maintain their lush appearance and flourish in your garden.

The application rate varies depending on the planting situation. For plants in the ground, use one to two handfuls per shrub, two handfuls per square metre under the canopy of large trees, or one handful per metre of hedging. Container plants have higher needs and benefit from a second, identical feed in late summer or early autumn; for these, use two to three handfuls per pot. Annually replacing the top layer of compost is also highly recommended for potted evergreens to keep them in prime condition. This routine feeding provides a continuous supply of essential nutrients, helping your evergreens to maintain deep green foliage and robust health, season after season.

The main time to apply Rootgrow Evergreen Plant Food is in early spring as new growth begins. Evenly sprinkle the granules on the soil surface around the base of your plants, extending out to the edge of their foliage, then gently work them into the topsoil and water thoroughly to activate.
