Product description

Rootgrow Tree & Shrub Food is an essential product specifically formulated to support the healthy growth of a wide variety of plants in your garden. It is made with a carefully balanced blend of essential nutrients, including nitrogen for lush foliage, phosphorus for strong root development, and potassium for promoting flowers and fruit. These nutrients are readily available to the plant's root system with the explicit purpose of providing the well-rounded diet that trees and shrubs need. This is vital for allowing your plants to establish well and flourish in your garden.

The rate varies by situation: for plants in the ground, use one to two handfuls (25-50g) for a single shrub or two handfuls per square metre for larger trees. Container plants have higher needs and should be given two to three handfuls per pot for each feed. This routine provides a vital boost of nutrition, helping your trees and shrubs develop stronger roots, healthier foliage, and more abundant flowers or fruit, season after season. It is also beneficial to annually replace the top few inches of compost in pots, mixing in a handful of feed as you do so.

The best time to apply this plant food is in early spring as new growth begins, with an optional second top dress in late summer or early autumn for hungrier plants, particularly those in containers. To apply, evenly sprinkle the granules on the soil surface around the base of the plant, extending out to the full spread of the canopy (the dripline). Lightly work the granules into the topsoil with a hand fork and then water the area well to activate them.
