Product description

This famously reliable Sweet Corn 'Incredible' F1 is a hugely popular variety, renowned for producing large cobs packed with exceptionally sweet and tender kernels. As a vigorous F1 hybrid, it grows into tall, strong plants that perform consistently in the vegetable garden. Its name is well-earned, promising a high-quality and delicious harvest that is a favourite for eating fresh, straight from the garden.

Sow Sweet Corn 'Incredible' seeds individually in pots in a warm place to encourage good germination. Once the seedlings are established, grow them on in bright conditions, ensuring they are well-watered. Gradually acclimatise the young plants to outdoor conditions before moving them to their final growing position, but only after all risk of hard frost has passed. Once planted out, the stalks will grow vigorously.

Choose a sheltered spot in full sun with rich, fertile, and well-draining soil. To ensure good pollination by wind, it is essential to plant sweet corn in a block or grid formation, not in a single long row. Space the plants about 45cm apart in each direction. Water regularly and deeply throughout the growing period, especially during dry spells as the cobs begin to swell, to ensure a successful crop of plump, juicy kernels.
