Product description
Chilli Pepper 'Havana Gold' is a stunning Aji-type variety that brings tropical colour and gentle heat to your garden and kitchen. Its slender, golden-yellow fruits offer a mild to medium kick - around 2,500–5,000 Scoville units - with a fruity, citrus-like flavour that’s perfect for salsas, sauces, and summer dishes.
Sow seeds indoors from February to April in warm, moist compost, and transplant seedlings into pots or greenhouse beds once they reach 5–8cm tall. Gradually acclimatise and plant out from May to June, bringing the plants back inside to ripen any end of season fruits in the greenhouse. Water regularly and feed with a high-potash fertiliser once fruits begin to form. Harvest from July to October, when fruits turn a rich golden hue and reach full flavour.
Ideal for containers, patios, or greenhouse growing, 'Havana Gold' combines eye-catching colour with culinary versatility. Its compact growth and generous yields make it a standout choice for gardeners who love mild heat and vibrant harvests.
