Sow seeds indoors from February to April in warm, moist compost, and transplant seedlings into pots or greenhouse beds once they reach 5–8cm tall. Gradually acclimatise and plant out from May to June, bringing the plants back inside to ripen any end of season fruits in the greenhouse.
