Product description
Larkspur ‘Giant Imperial Mix’ brings elegance and drama to summer borders, cutting gardens, and cottage-style displays. Its tall, upright stems are adorned with richly coloured blooms in shade of purple, pink, and white. With a height of up to 120cm, this hardy annual makes a bold statement while attracting bees and butterflies to the garden.
Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to May, once the soil has warmed, or in September. For best results, chill seeds in the fridge for 1–2 weeks before sowing to improve germination. Plant 1cm deep and 25cm apart in well-drained soil in full sun or light shade and keep the area consistently moist until seedlings establish. As they grow, thin the seedlings out to leave a 20cm gap between plants. Larkspur ‘Giant Imperial’ typically flowers from July to October, offering a long-lasting display of colour and texture through the height of summer and into early autumn. September sowings will flower the following year.
Whether you're creating a romantic border or growing for cut flowers, ‘Giant Imperial Mix’ adds a touch of sophistication with its tall spikes and graceful form. Easy to grow and stunning in bloom, it’s a must-have for gardeners looking to elevate their summer planting.
