Product description
Stock ‘Column Mix’ is a bold and fragrant blend of tall, upright plants that bring colour and scent to your garden throughout summer. With blooms in shades of pink, purple, red, white and cream, these flowers stand proud in borders, beds, and containers. Their sweet scent makes them a favourite for cutting gardens, and they’re a magnet for bees and butterflies.
Sow seeds indoors from February to April or directly outdoors from April to May, once the soil has warmed up. If sowing indoors, use trays or pots filled with seed compost, lightly cover the seeds, and keep them at around 15–20°C. Once the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into pots or trays and gradually harden off before planting out in May or June. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil and leave 20-30cm between plants to allow for growth.
Stock ‘Column Mix’ is easy to care for. Water regularly during dry spells, especially while plants are establishing, and deadhead spent blooms to encourage more flowers. These hardy annuals don’t need much fuss, just sun, space, and a bit of attention during dry weather. With the right conditions, they’ll reward you with tall, fragrant blooms from July to September.
