Product description

These Carrot 'Sweet Candle' seeds produce smooth, uniform roots with a rich orange colour and outstanding sweetness. Renowned for its flawless shape and vibrant finish, this variety also excels in the kitchen, offering a tender texture and superb flavour for fresh eating, roasting, or juicing. Its consistent performance and high sugar content make it a firm favourite among gardeners and chefs alike.

Sow seeds directly outdoors from April to July in well-drained, stone-free soil. Space rows 30cm apart and thin seedlings to 5–10cm if required. Harvest from June to November depending on sowing time and root size.

Thanks to its fine core and smooth skin, 'Sweet Candle' is especially well-suited for uniform slicing and even cooking. Its naturally sweet flavour intensifies when roasted, making it a versatile choice for both everyday meals and seasonal dishes.
