Product description

Tomato 'Tumbling Tom Yellow' is a prolific trailing tomato, specifically designed to spill from hanging baskets and patio pots. This easy-to-grow bush variety produces an incredible yield of sweet, juicy, golden-yellow cherry tomatoes that bring a ray of sunshine to salads and snacks. It is the ideal choice for adding cascading colour and delicious flavour to small-space gardens and balconies.

Sow 'Tumbling Tom Yellow' seeds shallowly in pots of compost and keep them in a warm, bright place at around 20-22C to germinate. Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into their own pots to grow on and develop a strong root system. Before their final move into outdoor containers, it's important to harden off the young plants by gradually exposing them to external conditions after all risk of hard frost has passed.

Plant into a final container, like a hanging basket or large pot, using a high-quality potting compost. Choose a sunny position for the best and sweetest crop. Plants in containers require regular watering and a consistent liquid feed with a high-potash fertiliser to fuel their heavy fruiting. This variety requires no pruning or staking; its natural tumbling habit is the key to its success.
