Product description

These Beetroot 'Crimson King' seeds produce classic, deep red roots with smooth skin and a sweet, earthy flavour that is perfect for roasting, pickling, or slicing into salads. This reliable variety offers uniform crops with excellent colour and texture. It also stores extremely well over the winter months, making it a favourite for both kitchen gardeners and allotment growers.

Sow seeds directly outdoors from March to July, 2cm deep in rows 30cm apart. Keep the soil moist during dry spells and thin seedlings as they grow to avoid overcrowding. Harvest from June onwards when roots reach golf ball size or larger, depending on your taste.

Beetroot 'Crimson King' thrives in full sun and moist but well-draining soil. For the best flavour and colour, water consistently and avoid letting the soil dry out completely. Easy to grow and packed with nutrients, this tasty Beetroot variety is a top choice for beginners and seasoned growers alike.
