Product description
Tulip Parrot Prince is a wildly textured, architectural Parrot variety that features heavily crinkled, twisted petals in a rich, regal shade of solid purple. It looks like a piece of crushed silk and provides an eccentric, highly dramatic focal point that demands closer inspection from anyone walking past.
These bulbs must be planted in perfectly draining soil during November, as they will quickly perish in a waterlogged environment. When choosing a location, space the bulbs out slightly and provide serious shelter, as the massive, twisted petals act like sails and will easily bruise or tear if whipped by the wind.
These bulbs are supplied at a size of 11-12.

Top Tip
A tip for Tulip Parrot Prince is to ensure the bulbs are spaced generously enough apart in the soil. This prevents the heavily textured, twisted purple petals from rubbing together and bruising each other in the wind.
How to Water
When it comes to watering Tulip Parrot Prince, give the soil a single deep soak immediately after planting to establish the roots. After this initial drink, it requires no further irrigation unless the active spring growing season is unusually dry.
How to Plant
To properly plant Tulip Parrot Prince, wait until November and dig a hole roughly 15 cm deep in well-draining loam. Place the bulb firmly at the bottom with its pointed tip facing the sky before covering it back up.
