Product description

If you’re looking for an impressively showy flower for your spring garden, then look no further than Tulip Finola. Boasting large fully double blooms, this show-stopping variety features ruffled white petals decorated with pink accents and just a hint of green. The flowers are long-lasting, pleasantly fragrant and grow on sturdy green stems, making them ideal for cutting and displaying in an indoor vase.

These 11-12 sized bulbs are relatively simple to grow and care for. The ideal time to plant them is from September to October in pots or mid-October – December (after the first frost) in beds and borders. Choose a sheltered, sunny spot and dig a hole around 20cm deep in well-draining soil. Position the bulb in the hole and backfill with soil, gently firming down as you go, then water in well. Leave 10-15cm between bulbs to afford space for the roots to develop.

Instructions

Top Tip

To extend bloom time, deadhead tulips after flowering and let the foliage die back naturally to nourish the bulbs for next year.

How to Water

Water tulips lightly after planting to settle the soil. Once they begin to grow, water regularly but avoid soggy conditions. Reduce watering once the flowers begin to fade, allowing the foliage to die back naturally.

How to Plant

Plant tulip bulbs in well-drained soil, 15-20cm deep and 4-6 inches apart. Choose a sunny location and ensure the pointed end of the bulb faces up. Plant in autumn for spring blooms, ensuring the soil is loose and well-drained.
