Product description
Tulip Marianne is an exceptionally graceful Lily-flowered variety featuring elegantly pointed, reflexed petals in a striking blend of deep pink and red. Instead of the traditional cup shape, the flowers flare out like a star at the top of their slender stems, giving them a sense of movement and lightness.
Ensure these bulbs are planted in well-draining loam to prevent them from rotting in wet winter soil. The tall, thin stems are beautiful but can be prone to bending, so they benefit from being planted among supportive low grasses or given a sheltered location away from harsh spring winds.
These bulbs are supplied at a size of 11-12.

Top Tip
A tip for Tulip Marianne is to plant it woven naturally through low, ornamental spring grasses. The elegantly pointed, reflexed petals of this Lily-flowered tulip look spectacular floating on thin stems above a soft grassy base.
How to Water
When it comes to watering Tulip Marianne, give the soil a single deep soak immediately after planting to establish the roots. After this initial drink, it requires no further irrigation unless the active spring growing season is unusually dry.
How to Plant
To properly plant Tulip Marianne, wait until November and dig a hole roughly 15 cm deep in well-draining loam. Place the bulb firmly at the bottom with its pointed tip facing the sky before covering it back up.
