Product description

Tulip Kyoko Takahashi is a beautifully refined Fringed tulip that blends soft, creamy apricot and warm pink tones, finished with a highly serrated, frayed edge. The delicate texture and pastel colouring give it a gentle, romantic feel that looks exceptional both in the ground and in a cut flower vase.

For the best results, plant the bulbs about 15 cm deep in a loam-based soil when the ground has cooled in November. Care involves keeping the soil evenly moist during the spring growth phase, but crucially, planting them near the front of a border so their fine, frayed details aren't hidden by taller plants.

These bulbs are supplied at a size of 11-12.

Top Tip

A tip for Tulip Kyoko Takahashi is to plant it right at the very edge of your pathways or walkways. The intricate, frayed fringes on its petals are fine details that get entirely lost if planted too deep in a flower bed.

How to Water

When it comes to watering Tulip Kyoko Takahashi, give the soil a single deep soak immediately after planting to establish the roots. After this initial drink, it requires no further irrigation unless the active spring growing season is unusually dry.

How to Plant

To properly plant Tulip Kyoko Takahashi, wait until November and dig a hole roughly 15 cm deep in well-draining loam. Place the bulb firmly at the bottom with its pointed tip facing the sky before covering it back up.
