Product description
Tulip Avant Garde is an exquisite early-blooming Double tulip that produces dense, multi-layered petals in a soft, creamy pale yellow that fades to nearly white. Its lush, peony-like structure and gentle, sweet scent make it an incredibly elegant addition to soft, pastel-themed spring displays and premium vase arrangements.
Plant these bulbs securely in loamy, well-draining soil once the colder November weather arrives. Ensure they are sited in a position that receives plenty of spring sunlight but is shielded from heavy downpours, as the cup-like double blooms can easily trap water and snap the stem under their own weight.
These bulbs are supplied at a size of 11-12.

Top Tip
A tip for Tulip Avant Garde is to ensure it is shielded from torrential spring rain whenever possible. Rainwater easily pools inside the dense layers of its pale yellow petals, causing the heavy flower to snap its own stem.
How to Water
When it comes to watering Tulip Avant Garde, give the soil a single deep soak immediately after planting to establish the roots. After this initial drink, it requires no further irrigation unless the active spring growing season is unusually dry.
How to Plant
To properly plant Tulip Avant Garde, wait until November and dig a hole roughly 15 cm deep in well-draining loam. Place the bulb firmly at the bottom with its pointed tip facing the sky before covering it back up.
