Product description

Also known as Baby’s Breath, Gypsophila muralis 'Cotton Candy Mixed' is a delicate and charming annual that brings a soft, airy touch to garden borders, containers, and rockeries. This compact variety produces masses of tiny, star-shaped blooms in shades of pink, rose, and white, creating a cloud-like effect that complements bolder plants beautifully. With its fine foliage and dainty flowers, it’s ideal for edging paths or filling gaps in sunny spots.

Sow Gypsophila in seed trays from February to March and cover with a light layer of compost, keeping them moist and warm (around 20–25°C). Once seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into individual pots or trays. Gradually harden them off and plant out from May to June, after all risk of frost has passed. Choose a sunny spot in well-draining soil and leave around 30cm between plants. Plants grow quickly and bloom from July to October, offering a long-lasting display with minimal fuss.

Whether you're designing a romantic cottage garden or looking for a soft filler between perennials, Gypsophila muralis 'Cotton Candy Mixed' delivers effortless charm. Its compact habit, extended flowering period, and pollinator-friendly blooms make it a delightful addition to any summer garden.
