Product description

Usually grown as a half-hardy annual, this perennial plant is perfect for adding interest to beds, borders, and edging displays. The deeply cut silver foliage is also an inspired choice for adding texture to pots, containers, and hanging baskets.

Cineraria maritima is a low-maintenance garden plant that is easy to look after. It thrives in full sun in well-draining soil and tolerates drought and draughts well. Also known as Silver Ragwort, these outdoor plants are ideal for enticing bees, butterflies, and other helpful pollinators into the garden. In summer, clusters of yellow daisy-like flowers sometimes appear. However, the shimmering silver foliage is undoubtedly the star of this show.

Sow under glass from January to April. Plant out from May, when the risk of frost has passed and allow 25cm between plants. Blooms from June to September.
