Product description

Tulip 'White Fire' is a dazzling Kaufmanniana hybrid that features pristine white petals vividly marked with fiery red centres. As one of the earliest tulips to bloom, Tulip 'White Fire' signals the start of spring with its vibrant, star-shaped flowers. The distinctive mottled green and maroon foliage ensures this plant looks interesting even before the buds begin to open.

Ensure Tulip 'White Fire' is planted in a very sunny spot so the flowers can fully open and reveal their striking interior colours. Keep the planting area moderately moist during the active spring season, but never allow the soil to become soggy. You can rely on Tulip 'White Fire' to return beautifully each year as long as you let the foliage completely wither away naturally.

These bulbs are supplied at a size of 10-11.

Instructions

Top Tip

As a shorter variety, Tulip 'White Fire' looks absolutely brilliant when clustered tightly at the very front of your flower beds. Allow the leaves to turn yellow and die back on their own to guarantee strong blooms the next year.

How to Water

Give your freshly planted Tulip 'White Fire' bulbs a good drink of water to encourage strong, deep roots. Rely on natural spring rainfall for their hydration, only intervening with a watering can during prolonged droughts.

How to Plant

Place your Tulip 'White Fire' bulbs 10cm below the soil surface between September and December. Selecting a well-lit, free-draining border will help these striking white and red flowers reach their full potential.
