Product description

Tulip 'Quebec' is a highly rewarding Greigii variety that produces a bouquet of multiple scarlet-red flowers on a single stem. Each brilliant red petal is delicately edged with yellow, contrasting beautifully against its highly decorative mottled foliage. This low-growing nature makes Tulip 'Quebec' an ideal candidate for edging pathways or filling alpine troughs.

Plant Tulip 'Quebec' in light, loamy soil to guarantee the excellent drainage these perennial bulbs require. Once the flowers fade, simply snap off the old blooms but leave the striking leaves intact until they turn yellow. With proper drainage and a sunny position, Tulip 'Quebec' will naturalise brilliantly and return year after year.

These bulbs are supplied at a size of 10-11.

Instructions

Top Tip

Producing multiple red blooms per stem, Tulip 'Quebec' offers incredible value and volume for container displays. Leave their mottled foliage intact after blooming to feed the perennial bulb for the following spring.

How to Water

Water the ground deeply after setting your Tulip 'Quebec' bulbs into their autumn planting holes. They are quite drought-tolerant once established, so only offer a drink during unusually warm, dry spring weeks.

How to Plant

When planting Tulip 'Quebec', dig holes that are 10cm deep and place the bulbs with their pointed tips facing up. These multi-flowering bulbs look fantastic planted in sweeping drifts throughout neutral, loamy soil.
