Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Skimmia japonica Fragrant Cloud is a beautiful, evergreen shrub that provides foliage of a stunning dark green colour. This is joined by delightful white, scented flowers in the Spring months of March and April.
Growth & Spread: This gorgeous shrub has an ultimate height and spread of 1-1.5m respectively.
Period of Interest: Provides year-round, colourful interest for borders and pots. The white flowering that the plant produces in Spring is beautifully scented, therefore bringing a classic vibe and lovely overall addition to the garden.
Water & Maintenance: Position the plant in partial shade and avoid full sun as that can cause damage to the leaves colour. Moist, well-drained soil is best for it, as well as watering it well in the first year whilst it establishes itself. Prolonged, drier periods of the year should also see more consistent watering.
Skimmia japonica Fragrant Cloud is a gorgeous, evergreen shrub with pristine, glossy green foliage. This shrub produces condensed, lime green budding in the Winter. It will add to that by providing a very elegant array of scented flowering in March and April, bringing both class and style to the garden in equal measure.
The positional preference of this plant is in partial shade, with full sun being avoided as it could lead to leaf damage. This Skimmia will look great in any border, display or medum sized pots. The soil should be moist and well-drained, with regular watering being required in its first year; especially in prolonged drier periods.
