Its main display occurs when the new leaves emerge a vibrant pinkish-red, intricately marbled with splashes of white on a green background. As the leaves mature, they transition to green with a clear white variegation. This tough shrub can be pruned to encourage more flushes of its incredible, colourful new growth.
For the most vibrant and dramatic foliage colours, Photinia 'Pink Marble' requires a position in full sun or light partial shade with fertile, well-drained soil. Pruning is not essential for the plant's health, but it is the key to maximising its colourful display throughout the growing season. To encourage repeated flushes of the spectacular pink and marbled new leaves, the plant can be lightly trimmed back after the first flush of new growth has faded.
