Product description

Tulip Russian Princess is an exceptionally elegant tulip that features broad, luminous pink petals finished with a distinct, glowing silvery-white edge. Its beautiful colouration and very traditional, robust silhouette make it a highly versatile bulb that fits seamlessly into both modern and cottage-style garden designs.

Bury the bulbs deep in free-draining earth during the cold days of November to bypass the risk of tulip fire. Care is straightforward: water deeply once upon planting, snap off the fading flower heads promptly in spring, and never cut back the green leaves until they have turned completely brown and crispy.

These bulbs are supplied at a size of 11-12.

Instructions

Top Tip

A tip for Tulip Russian Princess is to deadhead the flower by snapping the stem just below the bloom once it fades. This practice ensures the plant stops making seeds and redirects all its energy into recovering the bulb.

How to Water

When it comes to watering Tulip Russian Princess, give the soil a single deep soak immediately after planting to establish the roots. After this initial drink, it requires no further irrigation unless the active spring growing season is unusually dry.

How to Plant

To properly plant Tulip Russian Princess, wait until November and dig a hole roughly 15 cm deep in well-draining loam. Place the bulb firmly at the bottom with its pointed tip facing the sky before covering it back up.
