Large, fully double flowers in a soft blush pink make Tulip Dreamer a real feature of the spring garden. The blooms are packed with layers of petals, giving them a rounded, Peony-like shape that brings plenty of detail to the display without looking fussy. Flowering in mid-spring, the flowers stand on sturdy stems above fresh green foliage and are also useful as cut flowers, with their soft colouring working just as well in a vase as it does outdoors.
Dreamer is a Double Early Tulip that works particularly well in pots and containers as well as sunny borders. Planting several bulbs together gives the flowers room to grow into a proper display, while the upright habit keeps the plant looking neat as it comes into flower. Once the blooms have faded, the foliage can remain in place to replenish the bulbs before dying back naturally, ready for another eye-catching spring display the following year.

Top Tip
For the longest-lasting indoor display, cut Tulips when the flowers are still in bud but showing their colour. The blooms will continue to open in the vase, giving the arrangement a longer flowering period.
How to Water
Water Tulips after planting in autumn, then keep the soil lightly moist while the bulbs establish roots. During spring growth, water when the soil begins to dry out, particularly in containers, but avoid waterlogged conditions as excess moisture can cause the bulbs to rot.
How to Plant
Plant Tulip bulbs in autumn, choosing a sunny, sheltered position with fertile, well-drained soil. Place each bulb with the pointed end upwards at around 10-15cm deep, spacing them roughly 10cm apart so they have plenty of room to develop.
