Product description
Narcissus Barrett Browning is a distinctive Daffodil known for its crisp white petals and vivid orange cup, creating a clear and uplifting presence in the spring garden. Its compact growth makes it easy to position in borders, containers, and naturalised areas without overwhelming surrounding plants. The flowers hold their shape well and bring a neat, structured look to planting schemes. This variety works particularly well where a bright, defined accent is needed to break up softer tones in early season displays.
Plant Daffodil bulbs in autumn in well drained soil, giving them time to settle before winter sets in. They perform reliably in both sunny and lightly shaded positions, making them suitable for a wide range of garden layouts. Once established, Daffodils require very little attention beyond allowing the foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Over time, the bulbs develop into a steady, consistent clump that contributes clear colour and form to the garden each spring. Their dependable nature and clear, defined colouring make them a straightforward addition to seasonal plantings without adding extra maintenance.
These bulbs are supplied at a size of 12-14.

Top Tip
Daffodil bulbs are more sensitive to orientation than many other bulbs, so it’s important to follow the nose‑up rule when planting them. Always make sure the pointed tip is facing upwards, as planting them upside‑down can delay flowering by a full season.
How to Water
Water Daffodil bulbs well after planting to settle the soil, then leave them through winter as natural rainfall is enough. In spring, water only if the weather is unusually dry, and once the foliage dies back in early summer, stop watering completely as the bulbs are dormant and prefer drier conditions.
How to Plant
Plant Daffodil bulbs in autumn, placing them in well‑drained soil at a depth around three times the height of the bulb. Space them about 10-15cm apart, then cover them fully with soil and firm it gently so the bulbs are settled and ready for winter moisture.
