Narcissus Albus Plenus Odoratus produces full, rounded flowers made up of layers of pure white petals around a small yellow centre, giving this double Daffodil a wonderfully old-fashioned character. The strongly scented blooms appear from late April into May, bringing colour and fragrance to the garden towards the end of the main Daffodil season, when their fresh white flowers make a particularly welcome sight. The unusual blooms also make excellent cut flowers, with their intricate layers of petals giving a vase arrangement plenty of texture and detail.
Once planted, these bulbs are happy to get on with things, returning each year and gradually becoming a familiar part of the garden. They suit borders, pots, and containers, so there are plenty of ways to find a place for them, while full sun or partial shade and fertile, well-drained soil will keep them growing happily. After flowering, the foliage can be left to die back naturally, allowing the bulbs to recharge ready for another display the following spring.

Top Tip
For a more natural-looking display, scatter a handful of Narcissus bulbs loosely over the planting area and plant them where they land, rather than arranging them in a regular pattern. The resulting clusters and gaps give the flowers a more relaxed, established look when they come into bloom.
How to Water
Keep the soil lightly moist after planting, particularly during dry spells in autumn and while the bulbs are establishing roots. Once growth appears in spring, water Narcissus when the soil starts to dry out, but avoid leaving the bulbs sitting in consistently wet soil.
How to Plant
Plant Daffodil bulbs in autumn, choosing a sunny or lightly shaded spot with fertile, well-drained soil. Set each bulb with the pointed end facing upwards at a depth of around 3 times its height, spacing them at least twice their width apart so they have room to develop.
