Product description
Bright, elegant, and beautifully scented, this variety brings a clean, fresh lift to the garden just as spring begins to unfold. Hyacinth Carnegie produces dense spires of pure white, star-shaped flowers held above neat green foliage, creating a crisp, structured look in borders, containers, and pathways. Its fragrance is rich without being overpowering, making it a lovely choice for spots where you’ll pass by and enjoy it up close.
These Hyacinth bulbs are straightforward to grow and settle well in well drained soil with good light. Each one should be placed at a depth roughly three times its own height, with the pointed tip facing upward and the base resting firmly on the soil. A light watering helps to settle everything in, and the foliage should be left to fade naturally after flowering so the bulbs can store energy for the following year. With a little space and minimal attention, Hyacinth Carnegie returns reliably each spring with a bright, refined display.
These bulbs are supplied at a size of 14/15.

Top Tip
Using a small layer of horticultural grit beneath each Hyacinth bulb improves drainage and helps the flowers keep their clean, bright white colouring. This simple step prevents the blooms from taking on creamy tones during wetter springs and keeps the overall display looking crisp and fresh.
How to Water
Give Hyacinth bulbs a light watering straight after planting to settle the soil around them, then leave them to rest over winter without additional moisture. Once the shoots appear in spring, only water during unusually dry spells, as they prefer conditions that stay naturally moist but never waterlogged.
How to Plant
Set each Hyacinth bulb into its own hole with the pointed tip facing upward, leaving roughly 10-12cm between them so they have space to grow. Cover with soil, firm it gently, and continue along the row or container at the same spacing for an even display.
