Characteristics: Evergreen shrub with dark green, oval-shaped foliage. It produces clusters of light pink, spherical flowers that bloom in Spring and Summer. Supplied plant height of 15-25cm.
Height and Spread: Ultimate height and spread of up to 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Evergreen foliage maintains year-round interest. Light pink flowers begin to bloom in Spring, continuing into Summer.
Water and Maintenance: Can be placed in full sun or partial shade. It prefers a peat or sand-based soil, as long as it is kept moist and well-drained. Water it regularly so the soil is never dry to touch.
Andromeda polifolia Compacta is a lovely evergreen plant that produces spherical, light pink flowers that are accompanied well by dark green, oval foliage. The small shrub's flowering forms in terminal clusters, allowing it to easily catch the eye. Having been awarded the 'RHS Award of Garden Merit', it is guaranteed to bring resilience, wildlife value, consistent performance and look great in any flower beds, pots or containers all year round.
Andromeda plants prefer to be placed in full sun or partial shade. The soil they are planted in should be peat or sand-based and kept moist, well-drained and watered so the soil is never dry to touch. This should lead to a happy and healthy plant in all seasons.
