• Water and Maintenance: Prefers to grow in moist soils with peat or sand and will tolerate some standing water.

Andromeda polifolia Blue Ice is a slow growing, low spreading, evergreen shrub that bears gorgeous, bell-shaped flowers that are full of pink colour. Ideal for groundcover, the narrow, blue-green leaves are overtaken by the clusters of flowers that form in Spring. This evergreen variety will provide year-round interest, is easy to grow and a long living outdoor plant. It should be planted in moist, well drained, peat or sand soil and watered regularly. When positioning the plant, partial shade and full sunlight conditions are acceptable, with the latter being more beneficial for long term growth.
