Product description

Pumpkin 'Gold Medal F1' is a heavyweight champion in the garden, bred for size, strength, and standout performance. Producing large, round fruits with rich orange skins and sturdy handles, this variety is perfect for competitions, carving, and eye-catching seasonal displays. It also makes a delicious pumpkin pie. With fruits often reaching 10kg or more, it’s a favourite among growers looking to make a statement.

Sow seeds indoors from April to May or directly outdoors from May to June, once the soil has warmed. Plant indoor-sown seedlings out from late May when the risk of frost has passed, placing 2 or 3 seeds in each position. Choose a sunny, sheltered spot with fertile, well-drained soil and space plants 60cm apart. Outdoor seedlings should be thinned to one plant per station as they develop and grow. Water regularly during dry spells and feed as fruits begin to swell for best results. Harvest from September to October when the skin is firm and fully coloured.

With excellent disease resistance and reliable yields, 'Gold Medal F1' is ideal for gardeners who want to grow big, bold pumpkins with ease. Whether you're aiming for the show bench or a spectacular autumn centrepiece, this variety delivers gold-standard results.
