Product description
Chilli Pepper 'Habanero Orange' is a fiery favourite among spice enthusiasts, producing lantern-shaped fruits with a vivid orange hue and intense heat. With a Scoville rating of around 100,000–350,000, these Chillies pack a serious punch, making them perfect for hot sauces, salsas, and Caribbean-style cooking. Despite their heat, they also offer a fruity, citrus-like flavour that adds depth to spicy dishes.
Sow seeds indoors from February to April in warm, moist compost, and transplant seedlings into pots or greenhouse beds once they reach 5–8cm tall. Gradually acclimatise and plant out from May to June, bringing the plants back inside to ripen any end of season fruits in the greenhouse. Water regularly and feed with a high-potash fertiliser once fruits begin to form. Harvest from July to October, picking fruits when they turn bright orange for peak flavour and heat.
Ideal for experienced growers and heat lovers, 'Habanero Orange' combines ornamental beauty with culinary firepower. Its compact growth suits containers and greenhouse cultivation, while its prolific fruiting ensures a generous harvest of bold, flavour-packed Chillies.
