Characteristics: Small tree / large shrub with large, perfumed pink flowers in spring and green, deciduous foliage. RHS AGM Award winner. Supplied in a 7.5L pot, measuring 4-5ft in height including the pot.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 6m and spread of 3m.
Care and Maintenance: Your Magnolia will thrive in full sun or partial shade. Plant in moist but well-drained soil composed of Clay, Loam or Sand with an acid to neutral pH.
Period of Interest: Large flowers from March to May.
Magnolia Star Wars is a lovely Magnolia cultivar with beautifully scented, large flowers in soft pink that appear in mid to late spring. The rosy pastel hues of the tulip-shaped blossoms will be offset by mid green ovate leaves.
The Magnolia will do best in direct sun or dappled shade, in rich, well-drained soil. Supply shelter from the frosty winds in the colder months.
Prized for its satin-like, pink-flushed blooms, resistance to pests and diseases, good constitution and consistent performance, the Star Wars Magnolia variety has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit – so you can be sure it will be a striking feature in your garden for many years to come.
