Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Ribes 'Jonkheer Van Tets', commonly known as Redcurrant plants, are lush deciduous ornamental trees which display a vigorous and upright habit accompanied by lobed, green leaves followed by firm and edible fruits during late Summer. Trained into a ‘lollipop’ single stem, these Forsythia trees are perfect to sit solitary in small gardens, patios, borders or mixed containers.
These deciduous trees will thrive in moist, well-drained soil - preferable loam, clay, sand or chalk soil. 'Jonkheer Van Tets' is a vibrant-growing species, so to achieve strong coloured leaves, it's best to situate in partially shaded areas, however, they are full sun tolerant. Either of these positions will give it the best opportunity to thrive.
The Ribes tree requires minimal maintenance due to their hardy and compact structure. To achieve the most colourful foliage, prune back the branch tips by around 10cm towards the later stage of the flourishing season (July) to encourage fresh, variegated growth the following season.
These ornamental trees are valued all year round for their lush display of colours and juicy berries. Emerging in Spring with glossy green foliage followed by redcurrents through the Summer months - producing a very eye-catching specimen for your garden.
Ribes 'Jonkheer Van Tets' ornamental trees present lovely palmately lobed leaves and small vibrant berries. During Spring and Summer, the tree will show lush green/grey foliage before getting overrun with lovely redcurrant clusters! These deciduous trees are fairly low maintenance and only require light pruning towards the end of the flourishing season.
Ribes plants are fairly low maintenance, fast growing specimens which thrive in moist, well-drained soils. Perfect for beginners, make sure to plant in either partial shade or full sun to ensure its best growth. Water regularly until established, then just occasionally when settled in. Due to being a deciduous tree, they will lose their leaves as the dormant stage appears.
