Product description
Viola Red is a colourful garden favourite, loved for its cheerful red blooms and compact, spreading habit that creates a full display in containers, and patio planters. Supplied as a 6 pack of bedding plants in a convenient carry tray, these versatile flowers are ideal for adding vibrant colour to outdoor spaces. The delicate, velvety petals provide a long flowering display from April through to October, making them a great choice for brightening flower beds throughout the growing season.
Easy to grow and reliable in the garden, Violas prefer a sunny or partially shaded position with moist, well-drained compost. Water regularly after planting while the plants establish, then continue to water when the compost begins to dry, especially during warmer weather. Removing faded flowers encourages new blooms to develop and helps maintain a tidy, colourful display throughout the flowering period.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
After periods of heavy rain, gently shake Violas in their basket to help remove excess water that may collect among the leaves and flowers. This simple step helps prevent the display from becoming flattened and allows the plants to dry naturally, keeping the basket looking fresh.
How to Water
Water Violas regularly to keep the compost lightly moist, as baskets can dry out more quickly than plants grown in the ground. Pay particular attention during warmer weather and water thoroughly when the surface of the compost feels dry, while avoiding leaving the plants sitting in excess moisture.
How to Plant
When planting Violas in baskets, arrange the plants around the edge as well as through the centre to help create a full, cascading display as they grow. Use a good quality compost with good drainage, gently firm the plants in place, and water thoroughly after planting to help them settle into their new container.
