Product description
Viola Raspberry's pink-purple flowers bring a lovely splash of colour to the garden, with plenty of blooms appearing over a long period. The flowers sit just above the foliage, giving the plant a relaxed, informal look that suits a wide range of planting styles. Its compact growth means it won’t take over, while the colourful blooms make it well worth finding a space for.
Also known as Sweet Violet, Violas are well suited to the British garden, coping with cooler weather and flowering for an extended period in the right conditions. They’re easy to grow in a sunny or partially shaded spot with free-draining soil, making them a straightforward way to keep the garden looking colourful without too much fuss. With its relaxed growth and long-lasting flowers, Viola Raspberry is a useful little plant to have around.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Keep Viola Raspberry flowering for longer by snipping off faded blooms before they have a chance to form seed pods. This encourages the plant to put more energy into producing fresh flowers, helping to maintain its colourful pink-purple display for as long as possible.
How to Water
Water Violas regularly to keep the soil or compost lightly moist, taking care not to leave the roots sitting in waterlogged conditions. Check container-grown plants more frequently, as pots and window boxes can dry out faster than garden soil. During dry spells, water when the surface of the compost or soil begins to dry.
How to Plant
Plant violas in a sunny or partially shaded position with moist, free-draining soil. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball and position the plant at the same depth it was growing in its pot, then backfill and gently firm the soil around the roots. Water thoroughly after planting to help the roots establish.
