Product description
Verbascum 'Peach Champagne' brings elegant, architectural height to the summer garden with its striking, upright spires of soft apricot and peach blooms. Each delicate flower features a contrasting plum-pink centre, rising majestically above a low-growing basal rosette of textured, silvery-green foliage. Flowering prolifically from early to mid-summer, this nectar-rich perennial is an absolute magnet for bees and makes the perfect structural addition to dry cottage borders.
For the best results, plant this highly drought-tolerant perennial in full sun with excellent drainage, as it actively resents sitting in cold, wet winter soil. Because it develops a deep taproot, it should always be planted directly into open ground or deep raised beds rather than standard patio pots. Once established, simply snip off the main central flower spike as it fades to encourage a secondary flush of side blooms and extend the floral display.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on the season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth, and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Promptly snip off the main central flower spike of Verbascum 'Peach Champagne' as its initial blooms fade to encourage a vibrant secondary flush of side-shoots. As this is a short-lived perennial, allow the final flower spikes of late summer to go to seed so they can naturally drop and provide you with free seedlings for future years.
How to Water
Water Verbascum 'Peach Champagne' generously immediately after planting and continue with moderate, regular watering throughout the first growing season to help establish its deep root system. Once established, this highly drought-tolerant perennial rarely needs supplemental watering, as excessive moisture or winter wet can quickly cause the crown to rot.
How to Plant
Select a sunny spot with excellent drainage and dig a hole deep enough to comfortably accommodate the long taproot of Verbascum 'Peach Champagne' without bending it. Carefully remove the plant from its pot, position it so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface, and backfill gently to secure it.
