Product description
Sidalcea Candy Girl produces rose-pink flower spires that rise above fresh green foliage, giving the plant a light, airy presence in the garden. The blooms form in loose tiers along slender stems, creating gentle movement that works beautifully among perennials with contrasting shapes and colours. Its relaxed, cottage garden character blends easily into borders, beds, and patio displays, adding subtle height and a calm, romantic feel to a wide range of planting styles.
This charming perennial thrives in a sunny position with moist but well-draining soil and offers a long flowering season with only simple care. Prairie Mallow responds well to regular deadheading, which encourages a steady flush of new blooms, while light feeding helps maintain healthy growth. Whether placed in mixed borders, cottage style schemes, or decorative containers, Sidalcea provides lasting colour and an uplifting presence throughout summer.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Young shoots are particularly tender and can attract slugs and snails as they emerge in spring. Keeping the area clear of debris, using wildlife‑friendly slug barriers such as wool pellets or copper tape, and checking plants in the evening can help protect new growth and keep Prairie Mallow developing strongly.
How to Water
Water regularly during dry spells to keep the soil lightly moist, especially while the plant is settling in. Once established, Sidalcea copes well with short periods of dryness but benefits from a thorough soak in hot weather to maintain strong, healthy growth.
How to Plant
Set the rootball into a hole slightly wider than the pot and position it so the crown sits level with the soil surface. Backfill gently, firm the soil around the base, and water well to help Sidalcea establish quickly.
