Product description
True to its name, Raspberry Autumn First is an early autumn variety, producing an abundance of large, bright red berries from August through to October. The fruit has a deliciously sweet, aromatic flavour with a slight tang, making it just as enjoyable picked straight from the cane as it is added to desserts, crumbles, or homemade preserves. Its upright growth habit also makes it a practical choice for the home garden, where it can provide a generous crop without taking up excessive space.
A sunny position and fertile, well-drained soil will give this raspberry plant the best start, while a little extra water during dry spells will help keep the plant growing happily and the fruit developing well. Once the crop has finished, the old canes can be cut back to make room for the new growth that will produce next season’s berries. With its early autumn crop and relatively straightforward care, Autumn First is a reliable and rewarding addition to the fruit garden.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Check the plant regularly once the berries start to colour, as ripe raspberries are at their best when picked promptly. Gently lift each berry from the cane rather than pulling firmly, as ripe fruit should come away easily.
How to Water
Water Raspberry Autumn First regularly while it establishes, keeping the soil lightly moist rather than constantly wet. Once established, it should only need extra water during prolonged dry spells, particularly when the fruit is developing.
How to Plant
Plant Raspberry Autumn First in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil, spacing it well away from other plants to allow the canes to develop. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots comfortably, place the plant at the same depth as it was growing in its pot, then firm the soil gently around it and water well.
