Opuntia microdasys 'Albispina' is a stunning variety of the Bunny Ears cactus that features white glochids instead of the traditional yellow, giving the plant a soft, snowy polka-dot effect. It provides a lighter aesthetic that contrasts beautifully with darker green plants. Like its cousin, the soft look is deceptive, and it must be handled with tongs to avoid the irritating bristles.
Requires bright light to maintain compact growth and pad density. Plant in a loose, gritty substrate to ensure water drains instantly away from the roots. Water only when the plant signals thirst or when the soil is completely dry, keeping the foliage dry to prevent unsightly marking on the white dots.
