Product description
Hydrangea Ruby Annabelle brings a rich, romantic feel to the garden with its deep ruby-pink flower heads that stand out beautifully against fresh green foliage. Its rounded blooms appear generously through summer, creating a soft, full display that works just as well in borders as it does in patio containers. With its compact, tidy habit, it slips easily into both modern and cottage-style planting schemes, adding dependable colour and structure wherever it’s placed.
Growing Ruby Annabelle is relatively straightforward. Plant it in moist, well-drained soil in a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade to help the blooms hold their colour. Keep the soil evenly watered during dry spells, especially in its first year, and add a layer of mulch in spring to support strong new growth. A light prune in late winter helps maintain its shape and encourages a fresh flush of flowers for the season ahead.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Instructions
Top Tip
Prune Hydrangea Ruby Annabelle hard in late winter or early spring. Cut stems back to around 15-30cm from the ground, as it flowers on new wood.
How to Water
Water deeply once or twice a week during dry periods, giving enough water to thoroughly soak the root ball rather than just wetting the surface. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged, and in hot weather check more frequently, as Hydrangeas can wilt quickly if they dry out.
How to Plant
To plant Hydrangea Ruby Annabelle, choose a spot with morning sun and afternoon shade, and dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball but no deeper than its height. Place the plant so the top of the root ball is level with the soil surface, backfill with well-drained, compost-enriched soil, firm gently, and water thoroughly.
