Product description

Fresh green leaves and bright golden-green new growth give Euphorbia Walberton’s Little Treasure a fresh, colourful look, even before the flowers appear. Come spring, small lime-green flower heads rise above the foliage, adding a subtle touch of colour without taking over the display. Also known as Martin’s Spurge, this compact variety has a neat, rounded shape that makes it easy to find a place for in borders, rockeries, or containers.

Walberton’s Little Treasure is happy in full sun or partial shade and does best in soil that drains freely. Once established, it is quite tolerant of dry conditions, although watering during prolonged dry spells will help keep it looking its best. When flowering has finished, remove the older stems, leaving the fresh foliage to carry the plant through the rest of the year.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

Instructions

Top Tip

Give it a sunny spot if you want the strongest foliage colour and most compact growth. Martin's Spurge can tolerate some shade, but too little light can leave the plant looking less full and the foliage less brightly coloured.

How to Water

Water Martin's Spurge well after planting, then allow the soil to dry out slightly before watering again. Once established, it is quite tolerant of dry conditions, so only water during prolonged dry spells or when the soil has become particularly dry.

How to Plant

Plant Euphorbia in a sunny or partially shaded spot where the soil drains freely. Dig a hole slightly wider than the root ball, place the plant at the same depth as it was growing in its pot, then backfill and firm the soil gently around it.
