Product description
Erodium Album is a highly refined, delicate-looking alpine plant that acts as a disciplined, mat-forming creeper. It keeps its finely cut, soft grey-green, fern-like foliage tightly pressed against the dirt, entirely smothering itself in pristine, pure white flowers that bloom relentlessly throughout the summer.
You must provide it with an incredibly harsh environment consisting of baking sun and pure alkaline chalk, grit, or sand. It is a strict dry-dirt specialist that naturally wedges itself into rock crevices; if you plant it in heavy loam or clay, it will suffocate, turn to mush, and die immediately.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Plant Erodium Album in elevated rockeries or raised alpine troughs where its beautiful, pure white, mat-forming habit can spill gracefully over the edges.
How to Water
Treat Erodium Album as an absolute dry-dirt specialist and keep the watering can far away once it is fully settled. You should only intervene with a light sprinkle if the finely cut, fern-like foliage looks physically distressed during a prolonged heatwave. Sitting in wet, soggy soil will completely dissolve the root system in a matter of days.
How to Plant
Wedge Erodium Album into full sun, using extremely gritty, chalky, or sandy dirt that drains instantly. Ensure the delicate crown sits high and dry, preferably surrounded by a top-dressing of gravel to reflect heat and repel moisture. Keep them strictly at the front edge of the border so they are not completely shaded out by larger plants.
