Cereus peruvianus 'Florida' is a distinct strain of the Peruvian Apple Cactus, selected for its robust, columnar growth and attractive blue-green skin. It naturally branches as it matures, creating a tree-like silhouette that serves as a fantastic architectural feature in a bright room or conservatory. While young plants are purely structural, mature specimens are capable of producing large, spectacular white flowers that bloom at night, followed by thornless red fruits.
This vigorous grower demands plenty of direct sunlight to maintain its vertical stability and vibrant colour; in low light, it will become thin and weak. It requires a heavy, stable pot to support its height and a sandy, porous soil mix that drains instantly. Water deeply but infrequently, allowing the pot to dry out completely to mimic the arid cycles of its natural habitat.
