Product description
The Petunia Blue is a classic, large-flowering variety that forms a dense, mat-forming blanket of sticky foliage and deep, rich, uninterrupted colour. It may release a very faint, sweet scent at dusk to attract moths, but it is primarily grown for its overwhelming daytime visual impact. It requires an acidic soil base to thrive and will be completely wiped out by the cold weather at the end of the season.
To properly fuel the continuous production of its massive, trumpet-shaped blooms, you must strictly adhere to a 'normal' watering regime. Feel the soil daily and provide a thorough, heavy soak the exact moment the top layer loses its damp texture. Keeping the root ball consistently satisfied with moisture ensures the trailing vines remain plump, green, and actively pushing outward.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
The sheer speed of growth requires a massive amount of chemical energy to sustain. Apply a liquid feed every single week to replenish the depleted nutrients in the compost. Consistently feeding your Petunia Blue guarantees it will keep pushing out enormous trumpet-shaped flowers without pausing.
How to Water
You must strike a careful balance to keep these vigorous runners perfectly hydrated. Check the surface daily and water the compost the exact moment the top layer feels dry to the touch. This approach ensures the Petunia Blue never wilts from thirst or rots from being heavily waterlogged.
How to Plant
Install the young plant near the rim of the container using a slightly acidic multipurpose potting compost. Angle the growing tip slightly downward to encourage the vines to immediately begin their cascade. Giving your Petunia Blue an edge position allows it to rapidly form a massive curtain of foliage and flowers.
