Product description
Also known as Masterwort, Astrantia Shaggy is a large-flowering herbaceous perennial with deeply divided lush green leaves. Small white flowers are borne in green-tipped white bracts from June to August. These blooms are a magnet for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, turning your garden into a buzzing hive of activity.
These fully hardy perennials tolerate full sun but flourish best in partial shade. They prefer a sheltered spot in moist but well-draining soil. Water well during dry spells and avoid growing in deep shade. Astrantia plants often produce a second flush of flowers late in the season. To encourage this, deadhead spent blooms regularly and cut back foliage to ground level after flowering. This cultivar reaches an eventual height of up to 80cm and spread of up to 35cm.

This plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide
Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Dig in plenty of garden compost and plant in spring or autumn in rich, moist but well-draining soil.
