Product description
Armeria Alba, also known as Thrift, is a delightful little perennial that brings a fresh, coastal charm to the garden. Its neat cushions of evergreen foliage are topped with globe-shaped clusters of bright white flowers that dance above the leaves from mid-spring into summer. Compact, tidy, and full of character, it’s a lovely choice for borders, rockeries, gravel gardens, or anywhere you want a clean splash of brightness without overwhelming the space.
Caring for Thrift is relatively straightforward. It thrives in sunny spots with well drained soil and is especially happy in slightly drier conditions, making it ideal for low maintenance gardens. A light trim of spent blooms will keep it looking fresh, and the evergreen foliage provides year-round structure even when it’s not in flower. Whether you’re filling a small gap or creating a soft, natural edge, Armeria Alba brings effortless charm and reliability year after year.
Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
For extra‑long flowering, remove the first flush of blooms before they fully fade - Armeria often responds by sending up a second wave of bright white pom‑poms.
How to Water
Water Lady's Cushion sparingly, giving it a light drink only when the soil has dried out, as Thrift naturally prefers drier, well‑drained conditions. Once established, it will cope happily with minimal watering, needing just the occasional top‑up during prolonged warm spells to keep those white blooms looking their best.
How to Plant
Plant Armeria in a sunny spot with well‑drained soil, setting it at the same depth as it was in its pot so the crown sits just above the surface. Give it a light watering to settle the soil around the roots, then allow it to establish without keeping the ground too wet, as Thrift prefers conditions on the drier side.
