Gold Privet

The Gold Privet or Wild Privet is an unusual hedge in that it is classed as partially evergreen and deciduous. This is because it does fairly well at retaining its foliage making it an excellent choice for those wanting a hedge that provides both cover and privacy. Although it has evergreen tendencies, during extremely cold bouts or harsh winters it does completely shed its leaves making it a bit unattractive during cold spells. The great news is that more often then not the hedging retains its golden tinged foliage and looks better than almost all other hedge varieties.
