Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Bright green foliage begins in the spring and turns into lime green, which then carries the plant through most of the growing season, while in autumn turning to a golden yellow colour.
Growth & Spread: It is a medium rate grower. Heights up to 1.5 to 2.5 m and spreads between 1.0 to 2.5 m.
Flourishing Season: Five-petaled flowers are pale pink to white and bloom in late spring to early-summer, in May and June.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established, afterwards can tolerate drought conditions. Overall, a low maintenance plant.
“Dart’s Gold” is a hardy, deciduous plant that will brighten up the colour scheme in your garden. The three-lobed, ovate leaves are fantastic colour additions to your garden and landscaping. The brilliant chartreuse or bright-green coloured foliage will light up your garden.
White to pink flowers with reddish centres form on rounded corymbs in May and June. These flowers add a gentle scent to the air. After the flowering, small, gently drooping clusters of reddish fruit form and decorate the plant.
During the winter months, its appealing papery bark comes into view as the leaves have fallen away. In addition, it tolerates full sun as well as partial shade.
As it is thicket-forming, pruning is suggested after flowering. If the plant becomes out of shape, stalks can be trimmed back to the base and reset with a total pruning down to about a foot in height above the ground.
Make this decorative Ninebark part of your informal woodland or cottage setting. Or put it in groups to use as a shrub border or as a backdrop of your flower bed.
