Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Dwarf, spreading semi-evergreen perennial shrub with grey-green foliage and violet-blue flowers appearing in Summer.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.2 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Year-round interest. Woody stems bearing loose panicles of tubular blue flower with tinges of pink which bloom from Summer through to Autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soils. Keep in full or partial sun. Flowers less under shade. A sheltered position and Winter protection are advised.
A woody perennial shrub with lovely flowers and a compact nature. The Penstemon ‘Heavenly Blue’ is a vibrant dwarf cultivar with semi-evergreen, narrow glaucous foliage which acts as a backdrop to the vibrant, violet-blue flowers which appear as spires of colour above. The blooms are small, and trumpet-shaped, appearing from Summer through to the Autumn.
Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full or partial sun. More shaded areas will reduce the number of flowers produced. A sheltered position is advised, with some Winter protection against frosts and cold, drying winds.
