Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
CHARACTERISTICS: A small, hardy fruit tree, producing masses of small, yellow-green pears, ready to harvest in August.
PERIOD OF INTEREST: Spring to Autumn interest. Produces small white flowers in Spring, followed by fruits ready to harvest in August.
HEIGHT AND SPREAD: Ultimate height of 3m and spread of 2m.
WATER AND MAINTENANCE: Plant in a position with full sun in a moist, well drained soil. Will not tolerate acidic soil.
Pear Beth is hardy, fast-growing fruit tree that stays fairly compact, perfect for gardens with limited space. In Spring, the plant produces an abundance of small white flowers, followed by masses of small, yellow-green pears. The fruits have a very sweet flavour and are ready to harvest in August.
This tree will thrive best in full sun. Plant in a plot of moist, fertile, well-drained soil, any soil type will do. Pear Beth are very easy to grow, although they do require pruning as they are spur bearers.
