Characteristics: Lavandula stoechas is an evergreen shrub with aromatic foliage and stunning purple flowers. It flaunts upright stems, bearing flowers that are joined by 4 sterile bracts at the peak. French Lavender plants are also a favourite of bees and butterflies.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.5-1m, over the course of 5 years.
Period of Interest: Evergreen foliage maintains year-round interest. Flowering will begin to appear from mid-Spring through to late Summer.
Care and Maintenance: Place in an area of full sun. Soil can be chalk, sand or loam, whilst making sure it is well-drained. Keep watering to a level where the soil is dry-to-moist.
